 ACADEMIC
RECOGNITION
 The
recognition of higher education acquired in foreign higher schools (academic
recognition) is an offficial written confirmation of the value of the diploma
for higher education or another analogous document, issued by an educational
institution, recognised by a competent state authority as a part of the
system for secular higher education in the corresponding state. The procedure
of recognition is organised by the Minister of education and science through
the National centre for information and documentation in correspondence
with:

The Higher Education Law (promulgated
in SG 112/27.12.1995, last ammendments SG 969/5.08.2008);
-
ORDINANCE on the State Requirements
for Recognition of University Education Acquired in Foreign Institutions
of Higher Learning, and of Periods of Studies Completed at Such Establishments
(promulgated with the Council of Ministers Decree No. 168 of 14.08.2000,
SG 69/2000; last ammendments- with the Council of Ministers Decree No.
63/20.03.2009, SG 25/03.04.2009)
As of 7th of April 2009 applications
for recognition of higher education acquired in foreign higher schools
may be deposited at the Front - office of NACID.
